What are the four different modes and how are they different?Updated a year ago

Katalyst offers strength, power, cardio, and recovery modes to help everyone reach their health and fitness goals.

The strength mode operates in a 4-second rhythm. 4 seconds of impulse, followed by 4 seconds of rest. This mode is intended to increase the maximum strength of your muscles. The strength mode is paired with more slow and controlled movements to focus all major muscle groups to improve muscle strength, endurance, and growth.

The power mode operates in the same 4-second rhythm. 4 seconds of impulse, followed by 4 seconds of rest. The power mode uses the highest frequency, to target the fast twitch muscle fibers which are difficult to activate with conventional training. The power mode is paired with multiple reps and dynamic movements. These workouts are designed to improve performance in activities such as jumping, sprinting, and throwing.

It is recommended to wait at least 48 hours between strength and power sessions with a maximum of three strength/power sessions per week. This ensures your body is fully recovered before each session.

The cardio mode operates with a consistent impulse throughout the workout and causes a twitching sensation. This mode runs with a lower frequency compared to the strength & power modes and does not cause a full muscle contraction. This mode helps to establish or improve basic muscle endurance. That means this mode helps develop your aerobic endurance, which can assist you in performing activities such as running and biking. The cardio mode can be used every day.

The recovery mode operates with consistent impulse throughout the workout. It produces a muscle twitch at a very low frequency. This mode increases blood flow, leading to a faster reduction of lactic acid, and promotes muscle relaxation. The recovery mode can be used every day or whenever needed.
